Intermittent Amber P
Evening Everyone
So have had an Amber P pop up on the dash every now and then whilst driving and occasionally on start up.
It frequently goes away after varying periods of time. I’m rather baffled!!!
Anyone had this, clearly to do with the EPB which sometimes makes noise if I use it, sometimes not!!!
Any ideas are appreciated
Thanks in advanceBT Gap IID

I'm guessing that your EPB is not far off jamming at the full extent of its travel. Be ready to locate and pull very hard on the release cable situated next to the EPB switch under the plastic cover. I could be wrong, of course!! 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Has the EPB been checked for service and adjustment? These faults come for a reason, so my first port of call would be to actually check the brake shoes, mechanism and general condition. Adjust as necessary.
To clear a fault code without looking for a reason is really not the way forward.2011 MY D4 HSE

As much as I looked I never actually found a fault any where with in the menu on the IDD with my hand brake at all and all of mine was in good order as I had replaced my unit for a new one so sometimes these things do throw a bit of a wobbly so hence my thinking to a wire broken/parting company Discovery 3 se gone

Op makes no mention of having looked at mechanicals in first instance, and has a noise.
Best advice is to try and find the fault.2011 MY D4 HSE

I will check and adjust asap, I did check it a whilst ago when this first started happening but guess I was wondering if anyone knew of a gremlin in the system.
Thanks for your responsesBT Gap IID

Hi,
Maybe left field but, as yous is also a 2005 V8, did you change the dash software to 2007 for Clock on Dash? This will move the engine emissions light to the Orange PB light?
Then again you might mean something different?Series 1 V8
