iPhone 3G Voicemail issues!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

My iPhone seems to work very well with my 55 plate HSE.

I can make and receive calls and even seem my contact list on the screen.

HOWEVER I cannot hear voicemail's!!!!! Big Cry

I can play them, I just don't hear anything.

Also I think occasionally my Phone is keeping the car awake, which flattens the battery!

Any ideas or thoughts out there?

Robin

You're using the visual voicemail service aren't you.....? Mine does the same, but you can put the iPhone on speakerphone to hear it. It downloads the message to the phone and it seems is not played back thrugh the normal iPod sound connections. Or dial the normal voicemail number to still pick up your messages & hear it throiugh your system.

Agreed - the voicemail playback is a 'feature' of the iPhone

Not only does it not playback through the D3 - there are even some BlueTooth headsets that it won't play voicemail through.

Odd! Shocked

As Bodsy said - use Speakerphone option to hear whilst on the road.

As to the iPhone killing your battery??? Are you leaving the iPhone in the D3 for long periods?

Ah, strange.

I have two other Bluetooth headsets that it works fine with for VM's, its only the LR that is causing me a problem.

And no, I don't leave the iPhone in the car but I have had occasions because the car sits just outside my office that a couple of hours after I am at work when I make or receive calls there is no sound and when I look at Audio sources the LR is connected and sound is going to it!!!!!!!!!

VERY STRANGE.

Sounds like you've got something wronf with the car audio then as it shoiudl shut itself off (at least mine does) unless the car is left unlocked & different people keep opening the door (it will keep waking it up)

yep - I have Jawbone headsets that play VM ok, but have seen posts on iPhone forums that others headsets do not Shocked

You must be close to the car for the iPhone to still want to connect to it - I have to walk right up to mine before the car takes over the audio.

You're not leaving the D3 unlocked are you?

I'm thinking it may still try to connect when it's unlocked - but not try when it's locked?

I cannot play VM through the parrot kit in the car. I thought that this was because it would be like bluetooth streaming, which iphone does not feel like doing.
