I ordered one of these and it arrived this morning.

Have not had a chance to play with it yet but it looks perfect to me!

PS They also do a version of this with a Holder attached.

Okay, quick update.

WORKS A TREAT!!!!!!!.

I have plugged it into the rear cigarette lighter point right next to the AUX in socket.

Plenty of cable to reach through to the front of the car and have the iPhone somewhere I can see it.

It DOES say on connection 'not made for this device' but I have seen this before and I dismiss and everything seems to work perfectly.

Even the little RF control works great, would have been better if it worked off the already installed controls BUT this cost me £28 whereas the proper kit would have cost £130 PLUS fitting.

So for me this i a bargain.

Just my input.

Welcome wjc Thumbs Up

Do you have the aux socket in the rear of the centre armrest? You can run your ipod throught that once you get the right lead. charging will have to be done by buying a connector of the cig lighted 12v socket.

Those radio yokes are grand but can be a pain in the Censored if you're driving around picking up difference radio channels etc etc.

I can dig out the many different threads on the Aux connection set up - let me know what you've got.

Yes, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE the FM jobbies.

Hateful.

I returned mine for a refund.

The one I mentioned above combines a charging point AND AUX out, so plugged into the socket behind the armrest, the AUX out cable is perfect size to reach the AUX in socket next to it.

And the remote control which attaches to the steering wheel really easily add the ability to start/stop, track forwards/backwards etc.

Really seems to work well so far.

Hi

Yes I have an iPhone 3G.

I have not yet tried making a call but I am 99.9% sure that the phone will continue to work fine via Bluetooth as it did so when I had an FM transmitter thingy.

So I get to use the phone fine and Line out to the radio gives great sound quality when listening to music, podcasts or books.

I have one of these, and I'm not happy with it. The volume is not adequate -- I have to turn it up to 20+ to hear properly. The equivalent for the radio is about 12-13. I am seriously considering getting TLO to give me a price for the Land Rover module.

I agree I have to turn up the volume a little more than the normal radio volume, but not excessive.

Compared to the cost of the wired in solution, which also uses the AUX in so MAY have the exact same volume issue, I think I will stick as I am for now!

The LR module is pretty easy to fit yourself. No cutting of wires involved, just some brute force and a screwdriver Thumbs Up

I know but I have NEVER worked on a car, in any way EVER.

And the idea of taking parts of my wonderful LR to bits fills me full of dread!

I use the cable from apple...
http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB129ZA/...MjE0NTAzOA
Dock connector gives line level to the aux socket for great sound and the usb plugs into a cig lighter adaptor to charge.
All works perfectly. Thumbs Up
Volume on radio dips when a call comes in and my bluetooth continues to work as normal. Also if you extend the video inputs from the back of the nav screen you can use the same lead to run video from your iPhone to your TV screen!
