ipod mount with a difference?
so I have had the current LR Ipod integration kit for a while and it works very well and I am pleased with the functonality. I think it was designed so that the attached IPod can be hidden away in the glovebox or whatever but unfortunately not being Marvin the paranoid android I don't actually have a brain the size of a planet so cannot actually remember my playlists, album order etc Also having an Ipod touch the idea is that you do actually touch the screen whenever you want to do something just to be even more difficult I didn't want one of those clever mounts that stick in the side of the head unit or similar as I didn't want anything to alert scrotes to the existence of any goodies contained within
so mix up:
1 x unwanted 'H' trim from a fellow D3 member
+
1 x spare part Ipod cradle from the previous Ipod kit - LR006852 courtesy of TLO
+
1 x large piece of hacksaw and blindfolded Dremel action....
fit it all together and;
put the mat back in place when not in use/parked etc
using the base of a hacked cradle means the steering wheel controls still work rather than just using a standard
jack type thing...and theeeeennn......???

Now that looks 8) and easily hidden with the mat. Top work there sir, and a direction now I may consider. Like you I feel the need to have the play lists in visual contact (due to mini-MacLeod's music taste).
I like alot

No probs, do like that position. Had the trim off a few times too, once for the install of my Parrott Kit, and the second time to replace it with Piano Black trim
Not a enjoyable job, but had practise and makes your idea more appealing to me
