I have taken my car into local stealer today to have the items fitted, I informed them beforehand that they needed the Disco 3 switch but everything else was the same.
They have just rung to say the wiring loom and even the lamps themselves are not the right items for my car.
Are they trying it on?
Need to know as they are just about to quote me for "Proper" ones fitted.

Have you read the whole thread ...it appears that they may be spotlights for a D2.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Just because they look the same don't mean they are the same
If it came in a box for D2's then they may have slight sublte differences which won't allow them to be fitted.TLO has left the building.......

Bazza,
I've a feeling that it will be FAR cheaper to get forum member 10forcash to install them for you, some say he eats wires for breakfast & they come out pre formed into canbus connectors.......
failing that, those that have had work done by him, swear by him (as opposed to At Him like we do to some of the dealers....)
Give him a PM, yoru LR dealer will probably be looking at £250+ just to fit....Bodsys Brake Bible
Thanks for the advice, I was going off the info that Macleod had put in that thread, looked like just the small matter of a switch.
How does TFC operate then because getting my car to him could cost as much as getting the dealer to do it!If you aren't living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!!

He travels all over the place, you're best off PMing him (Make sure you tell everyone that you've PM'd him though). Bodsys Brake Bible

When I had my GENUINE spotlights fitted to my previous D3 I was charged a fortune. Apparently the bumper has to be taken off to correctly fit the brackets and the car needs to be plugged into the ROVACOMS for the car to recognise them! Then again I may just have been shafted by the guy that fitted them (Ian Nash of Redline Engineering). Charged me 500€ to fit!

It does require the bumper off and it does need to be enabled. Took me 4-5 hours to do mine and TFC enabled them. I could do it quicker now - but I'd probably pay TFC to do it 'cos it saves the hassle Disco 5 HSE Lux
