What is the LOWEST car park I can take an HSE into????

Hi

I have an HSE and according to the info I have seen the car is 1.97 M at its highest point.

BUT If I lock it down into access height what is the lowest car park I could take the car into WITHOT DAMAGE? Very Happy

Cheers.

I would'nt go into one any lower mate, but if you do keep the speed down, or the HSE will raise and there's nowt you can do. With my expo rack, height restriction now is 2145mm Big Cry

Err have you not answered your own question Confused

If the highest point in access height is 1.97m then it follows that's the lowest clearance car park you can go into.

CFB, I thought that, but also I wanted to state the max speed before the care raises itself. Off the top of my head I think, and you need to check, I think its 15mph. Anymore and the D3 will raise. You get warning bongs before.

It will make a mess of the roof it you did

The sunvisor warning sticker heights are at access height so nothing lower is possible.

Ahhhhh

I did not realize that that was Access Height, I was assuming it to be normal height and I would have a little room to spare if I dropped the car DOWN to Access height.

Oh crap, the number of car parks that seem to have a low ceiling is amazing now I have a high vehicle, I have seen some at 1.8M.

I am off to a customer meeting in Reading Central tomorrow and I am pretty sure the main car park is damn low!!!!!!

Check the visor decal/sticker, it has the D3-cross-section-with-a-down-arrow symbol on it which denotes access height.

Bit silly in my book, they should have quoted at standard height and referred to the manual for access height OR quoted both heights.... Rolling Eyes

In access height 1.83m is the lowest according to the manual
With expo rack on that goes up to 2.07m according to my tape measure

In general I wouldn't go in less than 2.0m without the rack and 2.2m with the rack

You can get a SE (safely) on the Eurotunnel at 1.85m provided you don't have PTI. Not sure if all HSEs have PTI??

If you take it to the Dead Sea that would be about the lowest parking spot you could find Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Think the 1.83m is access height but not including roof rails, I like to play safe and avoid anything below 2m.

My local multi story says 1.95 mtrs and my aerial brackets that stick up above the roof rails by about 50mm hit the warning height board by the entrance setting it swinging every time, but I have never had any problems in the car park itself... Rolling Eyes

Ahh, if only. I forgot to lower my truck a few weeks ago at my carpark (1.98M). I cleared the two warning boards entering the garage, but I didn't clear the steel bar just after the gate. I busted the nearside plastic cap for the roof rail (just cosmetic). My local stealer tells me that they don't see the cap by itself. The replacement rail assembly is CAD$187!

Nice! I'm assuming you can bounce the front on that one? Laughing

Actually that makes me think... wouldn't it be amazing if we could actually raise and lower each corner individually on demand when offroading?
