Is wheel alignment covered under warranty

Hi

Bought a Disco about 3 months ago from dealer in Kent and always thought that steering was a bit funny - pulled to the left that I initially put down to the road camber. Anyway, took car to another dealer in Essex (where I live) to have it road tested and mechanic agreed that the steering wheel is out of line and will need a full realignment. They state that full realignment is not covered under warranty and will ask original dealer if they are prepared to pay the bill of £180 +VAT - Is this correct? I think the problem I have is that I've left it too long before I took it back, car has now done approx. 4000 miles.

Any advice.

Cheers
S

Personally I don't think you've got a chance unless you mentioned it to the supplier immediately. I don't know what is involved in a full wheel alignment but £180 seems a bit steep - maybe get a second quote?

I'll think i'll take the hit.

At least if I get LR to do it and its still not right they can keep doing it until fixed. Best to get it done before tyres get worn.

cheers

Nope...ask me how I know, because my local dealer fleeced me out of £164

The only way it'll be done under warranty is if they replace any suspension parts.

My stealer robbed me of over £200 they didnt get it right, it went back twice to be aligned again still wasnt right. They told me it was because of the camber of the road. So i got my mate to do it. He has the Land Rover computer and the laser aligning kit. Charged me £40 and now it steers and drives great and my tires are no longer scrubing.
