It was -8c up here last week but no talk of a BIG FREEZE!!! Usual southern counties getting a bit of snow and "Oh my god, we do have winters afterall!!". It's winter FFS, occasionally we get cold weather in winters!!

Mind you last week at this time I was in 28c. Sad

they got stranded cos the HA closed the motorway Rolling Eyes probably H&S Rolling Eyes

everyone should be forced to carry snowchains or be shot on the spot and used to grit the roads - thereby saving money on salt and lost work days plus would reduce unemployment Thumbs Up

Because all the media / newspapers are in the Southern Cities, they have no idea that parts of the country further North often have snow in winter. It isn't the southern country people who moan just the city bound commuters who haven't a clue. the vast majority of people don't carry shovels and suitable clothing and their definately not getting out to help others get up that hill etc, so traffic grinds to a halt. Town and country tyres no chance.

its the same as the "severe weather warning" when we git a bit of wind or rain. They dont want to get sued when somebody say "you didnt tell us" - bloody nanny state, always got to be somebody else's fault.

rant over

As with everything in this day and age if you have not had the proper training you can't use it

We obviously haven't had suitable weather conditions for the training course to be run on the new equipment Smile or we have had the wrong type of snow and ice and the new equipment isn't suitable to clear it Laughing
