Sorry to hear that Simon, hope they get the gits. I take it they just smashed and grabbed? and I presume nobody noticed the alarm going off?

Well the alarm was bleating and of course no one bothered and tried to find out which hotel guests car it was... or secured it for the rest of the night.

When I went down, saw the tell tail glass on the floor... put my head inside the car to look at the damage... the alarm went off ! And did it make me jump ????

NO... its so quiet its a joke !

Hope you can get it sorted out soon. It's a shame that some people don't have any respect for others.

Still, I can't talk, over 1000 years ago my ancestors did a bit of smashing and grabbing through Blighty. Then a couple if hundred years ago two more of them got sent out here for mistaking what was theirs and what wasn't!
 Have a nice day!

So there I am in the loaner this morning cruising along at just under 70 with a clear road in front of me thinking I wonder how good the kickdown is on these auto boxes then....? Foot on the floor, hit 90 a couple of seconds later, hmm not bad me thinks.... then I notice the bonnet flapping violently around on the nearside Shocked quick bit of deceleration and cruise the last mile to work at 50 keeping a close eye on it and how clear the hard shoulder is should I need to pull over. So where was me blooming bonnet open warning? Have they taken the sensors off the '06 models? Confused

Mine does this if you don't slam the bonnet hard. And yes, it is a bit scary to see the bonnet start to lift Shocked

Si,

maybe you should fit a periscope on yours when you get it back... that way if the bonnet does lift you can still see Wink

Nope, dealer called me yesterday when it got to them, said they were fully booked up until Monday but would do their best to get it in the workshop before then. I need to sort out the hire car arrangements with them tomorrow anyway as LRA only pay for 48hrs then it's over to the dealer to foot the bill, so assuming they don't want to do this I suspect there's a good chance they've already had it in the workshop today, found out what the issue is and will fix it when the parts arrive tomorrow morning Confused

You sound like a happy chap again? Laughing

Didn’t realise the dealer picked up the loaner tab after 48 hours – maybe they get it back from LR under the warranty term?

Mind you, what do I care – they make enough money out of us!
