Landrover cutting 1000 jobs in Solihull
I know this post might well belong in the General area BUT do we know what the actual sales figures are for the D5 now that we have a full year of sales? Landrover say their sales figures are down by 20% hence the cuts.
It's at least as much about the diesel fiasco.____

Strange, because of Brexit the value of the pound has dropped so making cars cheaper to buy abroad so the slump in sales cannot be blamed on leaving EU.The price of cars is still the same here regardless of the drop in value of the pound.

Down due to a mainly diesel range.
The car industry in general is suffering due to the demonisation of Diesel engines.
Sales figures for the D5 are in the “sales figures” thread 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

If you look in the sales figures thread you will see that the march D5 sales figures are up quite reasonably 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

You mean I have to trawl through 27 pages of comments with sales figures scattered amongst said 27 pages starting from October 2017 ?

Is that because a lot of people associated with LR are buying them at a significant discount?

Logic should guide you to March figures being in the couple of pages 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

This.
And its going to get worse unless they get some decent petrol engines they dont charge a massive premium for.
The 3l engines are good, but from what I can gather, they are quite dear.

Jaguar Land Rover Job Loses
It appears that the diesel issue isn't helping Land Rover at all...
Maybe they should drop the prices of their cars slightly.
