Front wishbone
I have just noticed the little lug on my n/s front lower wishbone was hanging off
Is this a big problem I think it’s your steering lock
And has anyone come across this before as the part is not that old
How would I set the wishbone up if this is the problem

It won't affect anything until you're on full lock going right and then you'd probably get some tyre rub on the chassis/wheel arch liner.
I'd see if someone can weld it back on or possibly drill the wishbone and then set up a suitable nut and bolt arrangement to replace the steering stop.2011 D4 SDV6 HSE

Is that scrapes near the lug on the wishbone.
If it was dragged over a rock and a tonne or so was loaded onto just the lug it could have done it.
I'd just weld the lug back on...sooner or later the wishbone will be replaced anyway! Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Another cause might be if the lug was used as a fulcrum to try to get the wishbone ball joint out as they nearly always need a seriously weighty lump hammer applied. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
