Key - what does it do?

After six months of D3 ownership I've found a key I didnt know I had, it was attached to two spare keys for the roof rails(which again I didnt know I had) that were in the pocket of the black storage bag. It's got a black plastic bit which folds, and has got much the same profile as the towball key but isn't quite the same.

I guess it could have nothing to do with the Disco and was from something else that the previous owner had.

There are a least three styles of OEM towing attachment keys. If the metal bit looks similar then that is probably what it is. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
