A word of caution, I purchased a number of the metallic mesh lined key bags to help protect the car from theft, but noticed yesterday that one had failed to shield the signal from the ey allowing the car to be unlocked and started with the key in the bag ( it was between the foil and sealed)
Had a spare one and put the key in that and protection ok again.
So worth checking the effectiveness of the bags from time to time

Good heads up Peakwayfarer.
Had the protective lining failed or was the key in the section in front of it? (Why the hell did they even bother with that section??)
ThanksGary

It was correctly between the foil d was sealed correctly, so can only assume the foil lining has failed, although no apparent damage to foil, it's a lot less "crisp" than the new one.

Ive had the same happen to mine, had to replace it. I guess if the pouch gets folded too often it creates cracks in the foil lining and allows the signal to be omitted.2016 D4 SDV6 Landmark (Gone)
