How to know your D3 is updated? |
|
Hi Guys
Is there a way to know what updates are available for your D3 and if so, were thay installed then.
My stealer always just said nothing is available. I think this is the easy way out as they proofed in the past not to be very reliable.
Thank you. proper planning prevent poor performance

You should be able to have access to your service history. Not sure if software updates will be logged though. The only people that know what versions are installed will be those with the right equipment.
Any hardware mods / fixes should be in the service history.

Hi Nick
Thinking about the Bluetooth. Mine don't have all the phone functions. I can't utilize the keypad on the dashboard at all. It only function as a handsfree system. Also don't know if theirs something available for thr navigation system itself. proper planning prevent poor performance

I updated my Nokia 6120 Classic phone software through PC Suite and now have a fully functional phone in the car. All my contact details are displayed on the radio screen and I can scroll through them at will.
To access this, I activate the phone button, either on the steering wheel or the button next to the radio and use the volume contol button on the steering wheel to scroll thru the phone contacts. When the contact is found, press the green button on the steering wheel and it works perfectly.
I do have the HSE with the premuim system fitted as standard

there in lies the problem
If the BT is factory fitted as standard the phone will talk to the screen and the buttons will work - if it is a retro fit (like mine - full LR kit) then only BT functions are available and the buttons dont / wont work. You can still load about 20 phone book entries into the BT system for voice activation, and you can dial by speaking thenumber, but you wont get any display, and no amount of software updates will change this AFAIK - but ready to be corrected as I too, would like the increased functionality

Hi Jon
It sounds like we have the same problem then. I thought that the system was standerd and not retro-fitted in all HSE models. Can you replaces this system then with a new one and wil it be of any value?
It is fustrating to scroll down with a pencil on a touch screen while driving, not even talking about the legallity theirof. proper planning prevent poor performance
