Just arrived at the Volvo dealership for handover. Gave Dave a pat on his stone-chipped bonnet as we walked away from him. I can't look back as I'm sure he'll be crying. Or leaking.
Browny, it was the easy one - the earth clamp on the battery. It was as tight as it would go on the nut but some grit in the clamp was stopping it closing up properly so it was jumping on the post fractionally when hitting bumps/potholes on the NSF. It felt tight, looked tight, wouldn't wiggle loose but would still jolt up the post enough to lose continuity momentarily under the wrong circumstancesI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Not even a sneaky glance back at Dave when driving away in the new car? And name of new car? I’ll suggest Valerie. When I left Dark a Bluie I was just going to head off and not look back but I have this annoying habit of looking in my mirrors. She was bit of a sorry sight but didn’t dwell as had 2,500 miles to do with my knees pressed in the dash and the D4 creaking under the weight of parts.
