lack of power

Hi Guys looking for help i have a d3 auto 2.7 tdv6 when approaching a hill small or large is seems to be struggling with it and kicks down a gear revs high just to get up the hill has Anyone experienced this and could point me in the right direction to start looking please TIA

EGR valve(s)? When it struggles, have you noticed any smoke from either side of the exhaust system?

Hi Mate yes when i put my foot down i get a little black smoke from the drivers side i was also thinking egr valve but wasnt to sure

Sounds like it could well be then. I’m sure someone with more expertise will come along, but they’re exactly the symptoms my D3 showed when the EGR valves were sticking/failed.
