Anybody can go green laning but I wouldn't recommend going alone and with a club you would at least hope that they know what they are doing and that the lanes you are driving on are legal Thumbs Up

Hi Bigags , GLASS , ( Greenlane Association ) they fight for our rights to drive these ancient roads , they are the good guys . I would expect they would be able to put you in touch with your local club . Can I just ask that you never go laning by yourself , besides the obvious like you won't know where you are going or may get stuck , if you got out of your car to answer a call of nature you could stumble twist your ankle , break a leg . If you buy a Ordenance Survey map in the Land Ranger series for the area that you want . There are also sat navs available . Good luck .
The older I get the better I was .

I'm afraid I've been around long enough ti have known people who have gone out by themselves . What else I would recomend would be a rated strop of 7 to 8 tons and a pair of rated shackles of 4 / 5 tons . I know a D3 weighs just under 3 tons and if you were towing on tarmac all would be fine but a D3 sat on it's belly with all 4 wheels waving in the air would need considerably more . On the strops there should be a blue tag at one end and on the shackles it should be embossed on loop . Good luck .
