Lake Konstanz / Constance

Thinking of this German lake at Easter.
Any recommendations of caravan sites or which side of lake (country!)
Things to do!

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

The Bodensee is pretty large. I‘m from Zurich and I love the lake best around the peninsula of Reichenau. There‘s a camping site (Camping Sandseele) where we go sometimes by boat to eat fish and ice cream but you can drive there, too. It‘s on the German side so the meals are big and it‘s much better on your wallet compared to Swiss standards.
No experience with the camp site but the staff is friendly. Nearby there are several camping sites like ‚Camping Willam‘ which has good location and family friendly infrastructure. Most of the area is nature reserve with nice cycle paths.

btw a few years ago we did a bicycle camping tour along the whole Swiss side of the lake and checked out most camping sites along the way. It was lovely, clean and safe but the landscape wasn‘t that exiting compared to the area around Reichenau which we call ‚Gnadensee’ - it means ‚lake grace‘ or ‚lake mercy‘ Wink
Don‘t forget to visit the village ‚Gottlieben‘ if you‘re in this area and buy the famous Gottlieber chocolate.
