| Land rover Discovery 3 - Intemittant No-Start Issue` |

Hi there, I'm new to the forum but have owned my first D3 for three years now - working through various issues and fixes!
Here's one that I want to share to see if this is something anyone else has experienced.
Get in the car, key in, lights on dash normal, starts & drives fine. Stop at the petrol station, get back in, keys in ignition, lights normal - turn key.... NOTHING. Keep trying [say 30 times] and then magically starts, all normal?!
Happened again the other day, drope to the supermarket, get out - back in again. No start [No Crank, just nothing apart from the sound of a relay or two clicking] Abandoned the car, went back the following morning - started first time.
It's been up to the local independant LR 4x4 garage and the auto electricians but they cannot find any faults.?
Anyone heard of a fault like this before??

When it doesn't start, does the immobiliser light keep flashing rather than turning to a solid red? 2013 RR Vogue SE SDV8

either imboloiser related.
The car does not think the gearbox is in Park or N
Starter relay under the bonnet.
When it doesn't start, try hitting the relay under the bonnet marked SM

Immobiliser appears to light up correctly [flashing - insert key - goes solid red turn key - and goes out] whether it starts or not..

Thanks - I think i'll look into the R18 Relay - I assume I can swap it out with another one [R15?] for test purposes.
I did find this post which sounded similar to the issue I'm facing..

Yeah swap a relay
Dunno if it’s a 70A or lower type.
