I noticed a little bit about the forum in this magazine. It also has an interesting bit about DS3 and Ray Mears, who says it is the first car that might convince him to change his 4 defenders. Looks like he is trying to challenge BN Wink

Ehmmm, but he has not purchased any yet Twisted Evil ? Maybe like me he has test driven one for a few days Very Happy . After which I purchased a sample, maybe Ray hasn't yet Wink ?. I thought they were going to be a better vehicle than they are proving to be. The jury is out at the moment in my camp, because we no longer light fires with twigs and tinder bark (unless we have to do of course), but we do use them as they were designed to be used. I am from a LR 110 Special Vehicle background so the luxury of the D3 is probably overwhelming me Shocked

Ahh but remember that Ray has a deal with Land Rover, if I remember correctly.

He's only just had a Special Vehicles 110 built, so I'm sure it'll be a while before he goes over the D3.

Martin, it's May 2005 issue page 14. BTW Ray Mears says he would worry about its complexity in the wilds of Africa or Antartica (bet he gets FBH!) but he'd be tempted to see how it could perform in an extreme environment.

The article was a few days testing in Spain and quite an interesting read.
