to a lot of people Jeep is just a generic term for a 4x4, and the 1st Land Rover was built on a Willys jeep frame.

I’m sure in DSL’s household it’s been called a few other names as well! Some of them quite rude I imagine.....
I wonder if he's from Northern Ireland originally, especially looking at the plate on the car. Over there, all 4x4s are referred to as Jeeps, it's a source of much confusion and p*** taking.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Apart from money pit, not really. I was quite fond of the old girl, she had taken me to many places I wouldn't have gone to, either on my own or with peeps I wouldn't have met, and when she did die she did it in a safe place with dignity. She is missed, though bank balance is a lot healthier. I still can't bring myself to threw out her keys. But saying that I have sworn many, many times at LR for the parts they put in, was prob most vocal when the tailgate L thingie failed half way up a mountain in the Pyrenees.
Not bonded with the D4 in the same way, but trip to The Top in June will help that process.

Not in any rush. Have a "need" for one by the end of March but could postpone that another month or so.
