Leaking steering rack

My steering rack has developed a leak around the area that the steering column meets the rack. Theres no drips on the undertray but the whole area is covered in oil from the underside of the rack to the UJ on the lower column.
Is there a seal that can be replaced around the area?
Would this leak result in the lower column UJ wearing out? I only replaced it 6th mnths ago and it feels like it has play in again Big Cry

Cheers

If the tank level is still around minimum I wouldn't worry.

I loved how someone described it. It's just sweat or similar Laughing

Hi
Just have a look at the bottom intercooler hose as oil can weep from this area and end up all over the rack at this point
I had the same issue as you but when cleaned up it was as above
Obviously if you are missing fluid in the power steering fluid reservoir it's not as mine mate

Might be the smaller metal pipes on the rack, had one rust out on mine and got replacements on bay of fleas.

My D4 is in for replacement pipes tomorrow. Not leaking badly but got advised on the service health check. Warranty Direct paying.👍

Reservoir level looks fine. Ill have a crawl under it tomorrow to look at the intercooler pipes. will clean the oil up while I'm there and see how quickly it returns too.
Its heading into the garage on Monday to have a few bits done, SWMBO has got fed up with me spending time tinkering rather than doing other bits round the house Rolling with laughter so Ill get them to give it a once over while they have it. Thumbs Up
