LED Replacement tail lights

I have been looking at replacing the standard Stop/Tail lights for LEDs. I've been looking at Ultra LEDs site and found these:
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/automotive-bulb...1_132.html
I presume these are the correct bulbs, but which one should I go for. Has any one got any advice?

Also, do I need to change the lower tail light for LEDs, or can they remain as standard. If I do need to change, is there just a tail light only option in LED?

TIA

I got my leds from this place, but he has since proved to be a complete to$$er to other site members, so you might want to shop elsewhere. The white leds don't last very long and once the guy has your money you'll never get any help from him.

Anyway, that's not strictly relevant to your question. I got ones that are described as:
U38048R (380) 48 Red Led Stop & Tail (Pair) 120 % Brighter
None of the ones you linked to really match very well. I would go for red rather than white (having seen how long white leds last) and I would go for the ones that shine in to the reflector rather than shine straight outwards, as the effect is that much better.

I changed all four of mine, the shade of red is significantly different and it looks a bit odd if you only change the brake lights. In the lower lights the brighter 'brakes' light is never activated.

Dont do it with him. I bought mine that were faulty, he ignored my mail etc, and when I mentioned the froum and the feedback his company was getting he told me and the forum to Censored off.

He commented he was packing the automotive LED's in as ALL customers for these were idiots and not worth dealing with.

Honestly, do a search on the thread and definately stay away mate. Thumbs Up

All my LEDS (stop/tail, tail, sidelights, numberplate, puddle and interior) have come from ULTRALEDS. They were fitted almost 16 months ago and have been fine.

As stated above, you really need 2 pairs of U38048R (380) 48 Red Led Stop & Tail (Pair) 120 % Brighter for the rear clusters.

Use the discount code Discover10 to get 10% off your 1st order (may still work). I've had no problem with the firm - speak as you find. Thumbs Up

I fitted 4 U38048R to mine and they caused interference with the radio. Told Ultraleds about the problem and they essentially told me to Censored off and stop moaning. Never received a refund even though the acknowledged receiving the bulbs back. Others have suffered with interference from these bulbs too, so it's a gamble if you buy from them.

You can buy these LEDs for a few €'s on Ebay.com. I have bought a couple for a Chines eBayer and want to install them next week...

Who has these already installed and how does it look? Is it really worth it?

How they look will depend on what LED bulbs you bought (number of LEDs and brightness etc.).

I'm certainly pleased with the way mine look, far brighter than standard bulbs.
