I bought some of these last year, the 501 type bulbs that have 5 leds on them hopingto get more light from the reflectors
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0116884408
After probably 500 miles of night driving one has failed. It has a small pin head amount of light from each LED. Is this an earth issue or failure of the bulb?
Has anyone had better experience of LED replacements and if so what type?
Thanks,
John

A pinhead of light could indicate : failed LED, failed current limiter or dry joints. All of which means try your warranty.
Edit : Just noticed you have an HSE...do you have adaptive lighting? If so you have cooked them and you won't be able to claim on bulb warranty... Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Good point. It's time to see how well that warranty is honoured. Will have to buy some alternatives while they are sent back though.
No adaptive lights on mine - otherwise I would have stuck with traditional bulbs.
