I have just started noticing a very gentle 'thrum' when listening to R5 on AM - I wonder???
Fitted mine in October, not noticed any issues yet (Tail / Stop & Tail / Sides and interiors - all from Ultraled)
hello, ridgeback, just out of interest, do yours make an electrical hum when they're on?
Not that I can hear - just interference against weaker signal radio staions.Previously:

I just replaced the Ultraleds with 4 cheapo (half the price) LED stop and tail lights from ebay and hey presto - no radio interference! I bought these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...amp;ih=002 and they don't cause any problems. If anything they look better in the rear lamp cluster than the Ultraled version as they're encased in a clear plastic cover so they don't look so odd - more like a normal bulb. Only 2 less LEDs than the Ultraled vesrion too, so no perceptible difference in light level.

Ridgeback
Can you show a photo of the lights on please?
I like the look of them and I am considering getting some!
I'll take some tonight when it's dark - shows up better. I'm out for a few beers though so they may be a bit blurred Previously:

I emailed the ebay guy and he is willing to look at discounts for a group buy.
I have asked him for a list of suitable led replacement bulbs for the D3 and I'll put it in the group buy forum and see what interest there is.
Here's a pic of the led bulb (top) taken last night, with the standard bulb in the lower position for comparison. The led looks less bright in the image but in reality it looks the same, just a slightly different shade of red.

I've just fitted a set of these leds from the same guy on e-bay that ridgeback used, and although there is now no interference from them, the consensus of all the family are that they are not as bright as the standard filament bulb, both on brake and sidelight.never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly
