I must be lucky because my auto lights work perfect. They turn on in poor light conditions indicated by the dash going dim. They turn off in good light conditions. When they are on and high beam is selected I get the bright blue light on in the dash. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I agree with Dickgriff - why would you need a warning light? surely the point of the Auto lights is to save you from forgetting to put them on. What difference would a dash light make? if you want to overide the system just keep them on manual - I find it more frustrating that you have to turn back to manual before you can use the fog lights! but hey at least we have the choice!
Some say the glass is half full. Others that it is half empty. I say 'Are you drinking that?"

on and off is not an issues, its when they choose to go off even though conditins would clearly benefit them being on...the advantage of a light would be to know when to override them .TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue and still smiling

Yes I have often thought this. There is however an answer
Fit the Land Rover driving lamp kit. The switch that is part of the kit has a tell-tale lamp that comes on when the lights are on. I habitually look at this now to make sure the lights are on or off accordingly.

There's an easy way of telling if the lights are on or not. Just behind the rearview mirror is a downlight that lights the centre console at night. This comes on when the headlights are on. Hold you hand below the mirror and you can see whether it's alight or not.
Not as good as a warning light on the dashboard though.

I find that if my lights are on, no one is at home
And when its dark and the lights are off, I cannot see the road, so I turn them on.
