Limitations of 19" wheels

If I was to consider a D4 to replace current D3 (with 17" wheels), seems to me there are 4 probs with 19" wheels; a) tyre choice; b) limitation on sand - 55 section tyres don't leave much scope for deflation to say 10psi; c) wheel rims more vulnerable to damage; d) can't put chains on a D3 with 19" wheels acccording to H'book. The last one would be a deal breaker for me, since now and again go to places where fitting of chains is mandatory at times, whether you need them or not, i.e the gendarmerie won't let you continue.

Is this possible? JLR must expect a fair proportion of owners to take car skiing and cannot do that if no chains that fit

I've run chains on 19" wheels (RUD Compact-Grip V) and LR dealers sell chains for 19" D3 wheels?
Do these not fit on the D4 with 19"? 2005 D3 HSE
