Load Space Protector

Hi,

As part of my purchase I have a choice between the Flexible Loadspace Protector and the Rubber Loadspace protector.

Do you have either?

Is the Flexible friend any good?

Or

Will I get more pleasure from the Rubber option? Wink

I opted for the flexible because I have the 3rd row seats. If I need to use them, I just roll up the matt.

The rubber mat also rolls up and can be stowed behind the third row. There is obviously very little space there to start with and it takes some of it as it only rolls up to about an 8" cylinder. Try one at the dealers before you part with the cash. Best prices on Ebay [Yeovil]

Being greedy i actually have both.... plus i've got three hounds who insist on walking through mud just before getting back in.
I got both because i could see dog claws going through the flexible but obviously not the rubber. The flexible does give me additional protection up the sides over the wheel arches and also the flexible gives additional protection to the carpet on the boot from dog hair and so on and TBH i'm really glad i've got both.
However the retaining system on the flexible is pants - so i've changed it.

I have the paddock dog guard plus a seat cover "thing" that is supposed to fasten between front and back seats to protect your seats from the dog(s). This is clipped to the guard and laid across the boot area.

On top, I have the 6"-sidewalled boot protector - and then a boot-sized dog bed.

They love it. It's a question of time to get the car into 7-seat mode, though - plus you have to plan before you leave home.

The seat cover "thing" does allow me to drop row 2 seats without my pooches noticing, mind you. Discovery 3 Manual as PDF | Blackvue 500 | BAS Remap | Mates did South America in a Landie

I have the full kit and its great ...also allows the second row to be folded down and still covers the seat backs ...

check out pics in my gallery









Oh and once fitted ..it can be removed in about 2 mins ...and folds away very small G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks for the pics wiggs - really useful. I tend to move logs & other bulky + potentially sharp items. Is the bag secure from rucking when sliding in items ? Would also be concerned about potential for puncturing.

Original thoughts were tending towards a rubber based mat of some sort. Graeme
