I know this is an old thread but does the second press on the fob also deactivate the tilt as due to take mine on a ferry. Its say on the booking make sure your alarm is off & I don't want to leave it unlocked.

I wouldn't worry too much about the alarm going off ..... nobody will be able to hear it anyway ..... it's quite a pathetic little noise! (unless you hook it up to the horn or something a little more macho)

IID has an option to use the horn as alarm sounder if anyone finds the alarm sound too feeble or its actually broken. Thumbs Up

Unplugging the sounder, also makes it use the horn

Can this be done on a D4?'- disconnecting the sounder dosn't make the horns sound Big Cry
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I think there have been a couple of cases where it worked - were they very early D4s? - but most D4 owners say it didn't work.

I wouldn't worry too much as from my frequent experience on ferries about 90% of people don't know how to (or don't bother to) disarm the tilt sensor... as you get back to the car deck and are greeted with the wonderful cacophony of blaring alarms Laughing
I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

D3 is deactivated by a second press(2 presses in quick succession).
D4 with one press only.
This is factory setting as they can be altered with Iid tool.
Where is the location of changing the alarm sounder on the Iid tool?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
