Locking wheel nut adaptor and rusty wheel
Hi
I have an 05 discovery (2nd owner) I have broken the edge off of the adaptor, the handbook states that the code is stamped on the underside of the adaptor and should be written down which the previous owner did not.
I cannot find anything except LLL stamped on the side of it, would this be it? I have looked on fleabay, some have them embossed on top, any assistance would be appreciated.
One of the alloy wheels (genuine LR) has rust on severalof the spokes, do alloy wheels rust? If so how can it be treated?
like this ?TLO has left the building.......

The code is stamped on the side so yours is variant 'L'
alloys don't 'rust' (alloy corrodes in a furry way) if it looks like rust then it is a contaminant on the surface, if it looks 'furry' then the alloy coating is breaking down and needs stripping and treating with an appropriate chemical - Ken will know the cure

Buffers,
Just so that you know The Large One, who gave you some advice is the parts manager at Yovil Land Rover and if you need any parts he's the man to get them. I think it's pretty much standard 20% discount for forum members, and not only do you get a discount, but Nick (that's his real name) really knows his stuff. If you need anything in future then drop him a line.D3 HSE MY05 Auto
