Lodar winch remote gone wonkey

Hi all, wanting to run the winch today, sun being out and use it before you need it sort of thing.

Glad I did it because unfortunately its gone wonkey

Problem seems to be the power cut off part of the system. Spooling out it runs fine, no problems at all, spooling in and 'click' the winch cuts out after about half a turn of the drum.

Press the green power button and it will reset and run again for half a turn.

I changed the battery in the controller and got the same result, so I tried the manual wander lead and got exactley the same result. Power out all ok, power in and half a turn and click the system cuts out.

Anyone any experience of this?

Sounds like a small issue, check earth s and battery connections!

Lodar

I was thinking that perhaps it is overloading and cutting out. When I first installed it I checked all the solenoid loads and they were all less than 5 amps. Its rated to a single circuit of 5 amps

That's the switched side!! The load side will be much greater than 5 amps which is why I suggest a bad connection. (ALL) heavy earths and battery connections including the solenoids need to be thoroughly checked.
If there is a poor connection here you will get current "drop out" under load. If all that checks out OK the problem is elsewhere. Hope this helps.
