It depends if its a high polluting euro 6... the Disco 4 is considered to be high in the Ulez chart, hence the daily charge

I believe euro 6, is euro 6. A D4 euro 6 is as compliant as any other euro 6.

Now I'm more confused?

My 16 plate Commerical KM16UPN is reporting that it costs £12.50 - is that wrong?

KM16UPN Blue LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SE SDV6 AUTO
ULEZ charge applies to this vehicle

Daily charge: £12.50

I don't think that's correct Euro 6 is Euro 6.

If you can point to the legislation/regulation defining different degrees of Euro 6 I should be grateful.

Some early D4s may not be Euro 6.

Could just be an error in the database, ISTR it had my MY11 D4 as compliant which it patently wasn’t. Try finding a few more D4 commercials’ regs (Autotrader, eBay, etc) and bunging them in.

I think the problem may be that early, (non Adblue ?) D4s are not Euro 6, whilst later D4s are.

No doubt someone will come along with the right answer.

I would agree, maybe I'm confused, I thought all MY 16 are Euro 6?

I am suspicious of the Mayor of London Whistle The information on his website comes from https://www.emissionsanalytics.com/, but I can't find a way of searching it.

The authoritative answer can however be found on the Vehicle Certification Agency's (VCA) database here:-

Elliot, from the tfl website.

My 2010 TDV8 RRS with no DPF is just £12.50, my 2011 Disco Commercial with DPF is £100, and my mates 2010 Disco (passenger car) £12.50.

The £100 charge is for all light commercial vehicles, so maybe your commercial isn't registered as such on the DVLA database.

Dave,

I think you are right... the more I dig the worse it gets...

NJSS posted a good link and depending on the Year and power output of the Disco it changes from Eu5 to Eu6.

It's a minefield.

Dave, just done some more digging... maybe your Disco is in the wrong grouping?

Copied from here - https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone

To help improve air quality, an Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year, except Christmas Day (25 December), within the same area of central London as the Congestion Charge.

Most vehicles, including cars and vans, need to meet the ULEZ emissions standards or their drivers must pay a daily charge to drive within the zone:

£12.50 for most vehicle types, including cars, motorcycles and vans (up to and including 3.5 tonnes)
£100 for heavier vehicles, including lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) and buses/coaches (over 5 tonnes)

IIRC
2014MY D4 added stop/start which lowered the VED from £565 to £330 but remained Euro 5
late 2015MY added adblu which lowered the VED a bit more (to £265 ??) and classified it as Euro 6

I think that's about right but happy to be corrected.

Havent light commercial vehicles always been rated higher on the Congestion Charge/LEZ ?? but the vehicle needs to be registered as light commercial on the V5 ??
 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten
