Looking for a tin tent!
Afternoon one and all…
I’ve finally persuaded SWMBO that a tin tent is a good idea so we’re now on the hunt. We’ve decided to go low budget as it’s our first and didn’t want to lose to much if we don’t like it. Budget of around 3/3.5k possibly a little more for the right one, looking at single axel 4/5 birth age isn’t to much of an issue as long as it’s in serviceable / usable condition with the view of it lasting a couple of years to see us into a newer one when the time comes as I know if she gets to like it she’ll start looking at the posh expressive ones and want one 2009 Discovery 3 HSE - Gone

Low Budget and it starts with a 3
Not long ago £1k was enough, check for damp, try all appliances on Gas and Electric if you can and look for something clean with extras included
You can spend a bit (buy s/h) on water butts, electric leads, gas cylinders etc.

At that money ensure you check the dates on the tyres. Under five years old ideally but no more than 7 or it could invalidate your insurance. Also try and get proof of when the brakes were last serviced.

I think we looked at around 20 but finally got one a few weeks ago for 6k ish , and yes all 4 tyres are perished !!! So new tyres going on this week
Spent 150 this weekend getting all the cutlery , plates , etc etc etc but now it’s all in we are getting closer to a weekend away ( but only in Cornwall still ) -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

We’ll done on finding a tin tent that the wife wanted and you could afford Stew. Will look out for you, guessing you’ll be the only caravan heading NORTH on the M5 in the summer 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
