I seem to have lost the 12 volt supply on the 12s socket i.e the white one behind the small black cover. Where will I find the fuse for this?

If it's factory fit, inside the left hand cubby in the boot space.

Thanks for the replies. It is factory fit. Any special knack or trick to get into the cubby?

Worth checking Fuse 48 behind the glove box.

Have not yet got to the glove box, but have accessed the cubby in the boot, Bit of a pain with the gear in the boot and the fitted Hatch Bag. Anyway access sorted, definitely a works fitted system. However I cannot see anything like a fuse or fuse box. There are some small square (?) boxes. Are they fuse containers? I have only ever seen "open top" fuse carriers

Thanks very much. That could not be clearer (or could it?) I will let you know. Except of course I think that is for the 12n socket. Do you have the 12s details please?
Thanks to all for the help.

I’ll still put my money on fuse 48, behind the glove box, main feed from battery to Towing Electrics Whistle

Would this help, 12 s plug, pin 4 is a 12v permanent feed, pin 6 is 12v via the ign, that will only come on with the engine running.

On my D4 all the fuses for the towbar are behind the drop down glove box, squeeze the retaining arms in and the box will drop further to get access to the fuse box.

In the boot panel(where your towball sits) on the left hand side the wires all join here ( 3 grey plugs) and run down under the light cluster and come out behind the bumper to another set of connectors (3 grey plugs) then on to the 12 N &12 S plugs themselves. Ignore 13pin 12N drawing.

As washwipe advises fuse 48 is 12v battery feed and 54 is 12v ignition controlled feed
Thumbs Up OJ

It might save a lot of faffing if the OP was able to post the reason for thinking the particular feed is not live. Some of this is getting to clever for its own good and only works when it thinks a trailer is plugged in.

Found out last year when plugging in the CTEK and finding it wouldn’t charge, fuse 48 blown, suspect the ATC could have done it but hasn’t happened again.
