Lost your magic carpet ride?

Since Wilts the ride on my car has been decidedly jumpy, feeling like the car was being tugged back at every bump in the road. Today I checked the counterweights behind the rear bumper and found the trailer wiring had shifted and was fouling the nearside weight. I got it back into place, cleared some mud from both weights and the magic carpet ride is back. Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green 8)

If anyone is finding the ride to be a bit bumpy, check your weights swing, so to speak Whistle
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

What exactly do these do and how much should they "swing"? Had a look at mine as I thought my ride had become a bit harsher and I could move them OK.

Stick "harmonic damper" into google or wikipedia and see what comes up.
Or use the site search for "swinging" + "weights".

However i wouldn't stick "swinging" into google.. Shocked ... at least not with any kids around. Wink
