Lowering Access height by 60mm - Have you seen this working?

According to the Press Release and LR video you can lower the rear of the car by 60mm.

Has anyone seen this on their visits to Solihull? I am interested to know if it is a standard feature of the air suspension or is it linked to an option such as towbar, etc?

It would also be great to know the height of the platform in this position.

Quote:
Air suspension delivers even greater comfort and offers a wide range of adjustment for the ultimate in convenience and capability. The adjustable set-up can be lowered by up to 60mm for easier loading access and to assist when hitching trailers or raised by 75mm to increase ground clearance.

I drop the suspension on the D4 each time I get in and out to make life easier for Ben to get in and out of the boot. Is this any different, or is it just another switch that just happens to drop the rear suspension only? It's nothing new; I used to have one just like that in the back of my Citroen C5 in 2002!

Like you say, until we know the exact height of the lowered electric plank in the back of the new car (and compare it to the equivalent measurement for lower tailgate in the current car), we won't know how useful it is for sure. I'd be interested to know.

I saw the car in Paris yesterday, and one of them was definitely lower at the back than the front. I thought it looked a bit odd, and another was definitely lower still, so I would say yes, this is a standard feature.

I use the access mode in my D4 all the time, especially for my in-laws and loading. The D4 side steps also are really useful, but the D5 ones don't look as though they stick out as much..

Quite a few have seen the car now, has anyone measured the lowered loading height yet?

Electric Plank !!!!!!
Brilliant description.....maybe the surname of its inventor
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

The platform is the only thing that's causing me a bit of concern at the moment. Don't think it will too handy for getting dogs going in and out.

It clears the back bumper, with a nice grippy surface, which is a start.

Unfortunately, it'll be far to narrow to be of any use to mine when he needs to jump in from the side - for instance, when jumping on and off from a raised pavement (when parked parallel to the curb), of when backed up to a wall.

And bang goes my, height adjustable, three side accessible, "grooming table"! Shocked
