I will hopefully be doing my LRE at Rockingham soon (when the invitation finally arrives)
My Q is should I upgrade to level 1 as I did the starter course last year in my TD4?

For £70 you get a days course worth about £250. Whats more you get one of Vinces lads as well.

Yes I took their D3 for a swim, though I made sure of the route before setting off in case of unexpected dog-legs Very Happy

He remembers you well from a few weeks ago. Didn't mention the swimming though!

Dead right Nick,

There is ONLY one place to do LR Experience, in the fabled grounds of the castle.

I was there for most of last week, I had my first go in a DIII off-road.

I was in a TDv6 manual with two other guys who had never driven off-road before but they were there with BAe in order to build a self driving/remote controlled car, bit like the DARPA thing done in the US recently.

Anyway, interesting to drive and the TDv6 as the engine is very smooth and forgiving, I found it surprisingly like the 300TDi off-road. The gadgets are nice and the HDC is much improved over my DII.

Things have definately moved on a step, and I look forward to a longer play off-road in one.

Danny.
