Nice idea and as long as LR can poke the treehuggers and greenp Censored s in the eye with some PR around this, then it will do some good.

Oh... and that means Red Kenneth doesn't need to charge me his new emissions tax then Wink

So the manual TDV6 @ 30K miles per years comes out at :

Your annual emissions from this car are: 12.03 Tonnes of CO2
The cost to offset this CO2 will be £ 90.20

So how many trees would you need to offset 12.03 tonnes of CO2 ??

I've got several acres of woodland, that should offset all the CO2 for disco3.co.uk members. I'll just try not to cut any down Whistle

LOL...

But how much CO2 does the average tree consume ? Be interesting to find out.

May plant some and use the wood to make clubs to beat the anti 4 x 4 lot with Wink

Simon, lots. Read somewhere that your motoring CO2 was offset by planting one tree. Can't remember where I read that, too hot in ths greenhouse office to look. Don't forget that motoring is nothing compared with the trip to Florida for family hols, just we have to pay the taxes!

Rant over!

1 year of D3 motoring @ 12k miles = 6 tree offset. Wink so Absorption of 6 trees = 4.5 tonnes co2 p.a.

Depending on which professor you speak to... it's either bollards or its not.

See BBC news article tonight about the Amazon rainforest ...now chickens bought fromTesco are to blame for the death of the planet.

so one pack of Mary Milligans best Oak seeds would do me then for the life of the D3 ?

Maybe we should create a disco3.co.uk wood somewhere (anyone got any land ?) and get the press to take a look see at what we have done ??

I know Martin has a nice village green near his gaff so we could start there Wink
