LR3 headlight bulbs replacement options

my LR3 has halogen lights & frankly, they're not the best at night drives and was wondering if there are any better replacement bulbs be it LED or Xenon thou not sure if Xenon's will work on my truck!

You can swap the whole units to xenons (HID). you’ll need to enable them in CCF, otherwise they’ll flicker when turned on. Note that there are also “AFS” light units (turning/cornering) which are not plug and play.

Thumbs Up

Also, a light bar or so might be useful. They give out much more light than the D3 xenons Whistle

Although you can buy LED bulbs to replace any of the standard Halogen mounts just remember they will not be legal. The reflector/lense assembly will ony have been certified for halogen filament bulbs and cannot be used on the public highway with a LED bulb so would be an immediate MoT fail.

This page covers this and includes the post Brexit update which removes some doubt over the subject:

https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/blog/are...0halogens.

In fact even most LED accessory lamps (driving/spot/fog) are for off road use only with only a few expensive exceptions.

Bow down Whistle

Quite a lot of opportunity for non public highway driving as well.

Rather than re-invent the wheel much of the regulations in Kenya have been lifted from UK and EU published rules so I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find similar constraints. That is not to say they are entirely adhered to.
