LRE Experience day

Anybody else received one of these letters through the post?

'Better still, why not come and have a little fun - with our compliments - putting Discovery 3 through its paces at a Land Rover Experience centre half day. There's no catch, and no sales pitch - just one of our professional instructors to show you the ropes, and guide you through all terrain workout. And your welcome to bring friends or family too. We've set aside 500 places, so just give us a call.'

Booked in on 4th October at Eastnor Castle for the 1/2 day and driving a 4.4 V8 automatic 8) - already done a level 1 and 2 at Rockingham so thought I'd go to Eastnor this time. When I rang them they thought I was driving a 2002 ES Discovery so maybe I shouldn't of received this offer.

Yep, I got it too and have booked for the Ashford Centre on July 28th.

Gonna have a go in a manual so that should be interesting !!

I've taken up this offer before, I even told them so but they were ok with me going a second time.

They thought I still had my DiscoII !! Now they know I have a D3 I don't expect to get this offer for a third time.

I notice that lunch is not included this time, just 'light refreshments'. On the last occassion I went to Chilterns and the lunch was laid on at a local pub and was absolutely superb.

I think it's only relative tho the individual Dom...I had a D3 box thing sent through the post offering it and they are just chasing it up via e-mail.

By all means give them a ring though and just say you had something in the post Wink

Unfortunately they twigged that I already had a booking. As someone once said "Don't ask, don't get".
