My lovely wife has bought me a full day adventure course at LRE Eastnor Castle this Friday in a D4. Apart from being excited, is there any advice or things I should look out for to get the most from this day? Total novice with offroading but it's something I want to get into.

Allways enjoyed Eastnor, the tracks are great and the staff very knowledgable, particularly if youre into LR history.
If you have time to stay over, try the Feathers hotel, quirky place with bags of character and a great breakfast.
If not, treat the missus to dinner at the Olive tree on Ledbury main street.
I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

The only advice I would give is listen to your instructor and try and remember what he says and just enjoy it, you will be surprised what a standard D4 can do Thumbs Up

We were there at the wekend in our D3 - you'll have a great day, with the benefit that it's been raining so there's now some decent mud!
Enjoy!

On a similar note i've just booked for two of the trec days at the westcountry venue, these are on the East Devon part. I went on one last year on exmoor and it was good fun, loads of help and good company, all with a lovely cream tea at the end. Very Happy

Have fun and believe the instructors. Its a great learning experience.

Great place, I was there last week.

The route you drive is to the right over the new rock pavement.

Yep it is a tight turn full of muddy water; Very Happy .

They have added a few new features in the last year, including a new 700 mm deep pond to drive through. Novice or expert its a great day in a controlled environment. You will have a blast.
