Are we LR's new (Cheap) product reliability test team?

D3 is suffering some glitches in short and medium term use.

Some electrical, some software, some mechanical, but there are comon threads, pardom the pun. Rolling with laughter

Being Ford corp some of this kit must be common to other vehicles, (handbrake - Focus C-max/?XC90, Rear self level? - ?XC90, PDC seems similar to many on the market is just it's interface new? So why are we testing it all for them?

We all here seem to be a loyal bunch to the brand, and it's products, as I am. I feel more dissapointed than anything else with what has happened to mine. This lets LR's divide and conquer approach work.

Was the D3 brought to market too soon to get in before say the new Merc ML, or the Audi Q7 etc.

Anyway I'm sure if LR had offered some of us the D3 for pre-production field testing we would have taken their hand off at the elbow.

So why are we paying (premium motor prices) to do it for them? Question

Soo many questions, too few anwsers from Solihull

They would not dare give a test vehicle to me for 6 months and you may be dead right.

Thanks BN I'm glad I'm not alone in my thoughts.

I hate to sound negative, cos the product would be spot on if reliable. It is all I want/need in a vehicle (maybe another 50 bhp and 5 more mpg wouldn't go amiss). Razz

It is obvoiusly very popular in the wider 'family' MPV market, I just hope the issues don't escalate for LR's sake.

I agree and add, that it is an excellent load carrier etc. I think Ford have really blown the PR with this vehicle. They are too big and untill it hurts financially they do nothing.

With Ford if it hurts financially, they do the easy option, stop the product. That is our car, hence the reason I would like descreet contact and liaison with them, which I have already. It is slow, but we are getting there.
