Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
Heard some woman quoted on the news this morning saying that "in this area (Bodmin, I assume) all the 4x4 drivers wait until the gritters have been out then go and rescue the 2 wheel drive family cars"
a. good public relations for 4x4's Very Happy
b. complete waste of good snow!! Very Happy

I bet there are even tree huggers that have been rescued by a 4x4 too ! And I also bet they never report that their nemesis has helped them out either Wink

Listen, when you are deciding whether to rescue some poor stuck 'normal' car driver, ALWAYS, ALWAYS CHECK FOR RAMBLERS OR F.O.E STICKERS IN THE WINDOWS If you do find them, stop halfway through the recovery, and PHOTOGRAPH for prosterity Wink [/i]

Exceedingly fine snow it was too!
I had the pleasure of travelling home from Dartmoor, accross Bodmin moor on Friday, and knowing that the main roads were blocked, took to the lanes accross the moor. Rescued a couple of frozen car drivers, delivered them home, took a few photos in the snow, and still got home for tea.

Easy in a Landrover!

It was staggering just how good the electronics are, the only thing that could stop the car was a traffic jam.
Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!
