M10 i think, with a ruddy great head on'em.
Front are about 30mm and rear is about 40mm. But this is just from memory, so could be complete twaddle

Called Mantec and they can supply all the bolts etc for £19.95, is it a waste of money (i.e. can these bolts be sourced locally at a B&Q etc)???2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I'd certainly be trying that route before shelling our £20.
B&Q/Homebase/Screwfix direct might do it.
Screwfix are doing a 10 pack of M10 30mm for £3.69 for instance....
You won't get 8.8 bolts at B&Q. You may get them at Screwfix or similar, but you'll need to know the right size and thread pitch (1.5 pitch I think?). Use anything other than 8.8 steel and you can say bye-bye to the plate the first time it hits something.
I'm sure someone will be able to give you the right size soon. £20 for 4 bolts is really very amusing, but I'm not sure I'd get the joke if I were asked to pay it.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

It is £12 for the nuts, bolts and washers + £7 odd for P&P, expensive I thought but maybe worth it to save the hassle of trailing around to find the right ones, then they will only come in packs of 10!
If anyone knows the exact size I would be grateful, needless to say Mantec are remaining tight lipped about the specs.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

They are 8mm Ø. 25mm long in the rear of the plate and 35mm long at the front. Yes 8.8 or HT bolts would be better but TBH 4.6 would do. Thats 6 bolts rated at 4.6 = 27.6 tonnes of force to rip the plate off. Me thinks it would be bye bye D3 if that happened. PM me your address and I will post you some out FOC. Plate I've got came with a kit with part number AP-03080 containing 4 of M8x35 serrated flange bolts and serrated flange nuts, dunno about the pitch but they look 'normal' to me, bolts are marked U 12.9 on the end, nuts marked S 181 (though it's probably |8| ) look like stainless to me but I'm no expertThe End

ahem ..... if you don't NEED it I could give it a good home
Mantec is about 15 mins from me. If you are not in a rush I'm sure I could collect and forward on to you via the D3 courier service or post for less !!"To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
