Got 4 Vredestein Wintrac 4 xtreme on. According to the Disco hand book I should be at 33 front and 36 back. According to Vredestein I should be at 39 and 46 
Hell of a difference. Who is right

This one's a bit of an old chesnut!
I contacted the manufacturer by phone some while ago and spoke to their tech dept who said "run at the pressures we reccomend". They said that sidewall damage may result if a lower pressure is used.
Several other members do use lower pressures - I'm sure they have their reasons, and have not as yet reported any failures but I would go with the real experts. There's a lot of techology and science in the design, production and manufacture of tyres. Who are we laymen to argue?
As a footnote, even at the manufactureres pressures, they and the car perform very well indeed in the snow.

LR is only responsible for advising on pressures of tyres fitted at the production point. If Vredestein are specifically indicating that this particular tyre should be run at x pressure on a D3 then I would go with that. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

The moment you move away from the recommended OEM tyres it will fall to the tyre manufacturer to stipulate the pressure as Vredestein have done in this case.
Think about this ...if hypothetically the tyres fail because the pressures are wrong and you have an unfortunate pile up ..LR will say they aren't OEM tyres and Vredestein will say that they have clearly stipulated the correct pressure for this tyre on this vehicle. 39 and 46 it is . Bit bouncy. Got 300 miles to do tomorrow so should be interesting.

Mine was a bit like Fred Dibnas traction engine for a while (100 / 150 miles or so) then, once the tyres were properly "run in" absolutely fine and do not feel bouncy or indeed over inflated whatsoever!
