Marked leather interior
It seems that LR still have supplier problems concerning their seat covers. I have been waiting for a call from my local dealer for four months now but, as yet, LR still cannot supply.
Yesterday I got into our Disco (alpaca hide interior) only to find a one inch black pen mark across the drivers seat. Mrs T claims it fell out of the Babies changing bag. How can I blame those little sweethearts?!
Snapping back to the real world. Can anyone help me as to how I can get the pen mark off of the seat?
baby wipes, i clean allsorts off leather sofa with them, they will remove almots anything.

I can give it a go. After all, we have an endless supply in the house!
Thanks

Sorry Simon but blame me (or more accurately my seat covers) that they have been withdrawn. My seat covers marked the leather and ended up with all seats replaced. See http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic4400.ht...ers+marked and below for marking. LR immediately took the covers off sale.

I did mention your post to the dealer and he confirmed he had heard the reason for the withdrawal was because of the marking but that was months ago. Come on LR, you are missing out on a lot of revenue and customers who want the genuine (revised) article are being forced to go elsewhere!

I have tried Autoglym's leather cleaner and that didn't touch it. Maybe the pen remover is the way to go ... if the baby wipes don't work that is!
Failing that I had thought about calling the dealer and see what their valet dept recommend.

OK I'm about to make everyone's day!
To remove pen/biro from your leather seats, spray the mark with hairspray, wait a few minutes then wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
You won't belive it, but it works!!!2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

I use the wife's hairspray to remove marks on the leather. It hardly makes up for the fact that whenever I go to shave she's used all the foam or my razor is clogged up with her lag hairs, but it makes me feel a BIT better!2005 Disco 3 TDV6 7 seater. Leather, DVD, fully colour-coded.

I'd quite happily use hair spray if I had enough hair to spray!!!
