I drove back from St.ives in cornwall, to Sheffield last summer on the bump stops.
Not a very nice ride, however no problems.

As someone who has had a compressor blow up nearly 200 miles from home I know how you must feel. LRA took my motor to the nearest LR stealer for repair.

I just repaired a compressor with a dryer that had blown back.
Removed the dryer, took it apart, removed and sieved the fine particles from the desiccant, washed the filter pads. I then cleaned the blown connection primed and painted it, put some sealing tape around the collar and reassembled it.
I will keep as an emergency spare.
I would have liked to re-place the desiccant but not sure what type is used.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Glad to know you made it home and good to know that, in similar circumstances, it's worth attempting it if needs be.

Another compressor?
Big Dave,
Glad you got sorted out with the compressor. What was the price for that?
Just been the good samaratan and loaned my Disco 3 to a friend who just wrote off his caravan and SMAX. Got a phone call yesterday and it sounds like the exact fault as you explained(Compressor kaput).
Do I need to send it to a dealer to repair or will I be able to rectify/fit the new one? If indeed thats what it is.
All advice is appreciated!!
Regards,
Martydiscodeeva

Hi Marty,
Sorry to hear the bad news.
Is it just the air dryer unit, if so, it costs approx £50 and my bro in law who is a full time Peugeot mechanic fitted it in 20mins or so.
If its the whole compressor this may take longer and costs £300 from TLO aat Yeovil.
Hope this helps.
