Thanks Anglefire, thats what I love about this forum, lots of eagle eyed people!! I'll research the update and get onto it asap!

Yeah that sure is my D3 on the supertints site, after seeing the picture I wish I'd washed it before hand, although I think he's going to change it to a better picture now! And one that hides my reg!!

No Chelsea tractor here Armalites, I bought it to be used and used it will be!

Fishinmad - I guessed this might be the issue but with spending out over christmas and everything I'm hoping I can prolong the inevitable for as long as possible so I can claw some money back in first!!Expensive job I'm guessing?!!

Me and the misses went out for a Little jolly today In Vinnie, nothing too exciting just a bit of exercise after too much christmas eating! It's amazing to eventually be doing these kind of things in a Land Rover and not cramped in a small hatchback, making a hot chocolate at the end of the outing was a pleasure with the drop down tailgate!!

If my memory serves me correctly - this code is a bit of a 'ghost' and commonly found with no rhyme nor reason for its presence.

Advice previously has been - ignore it.

If someone comes along with a better explanation - hats off to them Bow down

 Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:

I would Reply:

Thanks for that info, as long as it's not harmful I'd much rather leave it than spend more money!! I just noticed it's the only one that won't clear!

Thanks mate, I want to try and document everything as it'll be nice to look back on years down the line! I was going to pay to have some updates done then when I did the maths it came to half the price of the tool, so I bought one!

Yeah Dr Tranny did the job, fingers crossed it stays this way for a while Thumbs Up

Thanks mate Thumbs Up

Aww bless her, it's in your interest to keep her weight down then!! On occasions I lift mine in just to help out on her joints a bit in years to come, but I don't appreciate the muddy sleeves in return tho!!

As pointed out to me by Anglefire I still have the original diff breather which is prone to blocking. So yesterday at 13:30 I placed my first ever order with Advanced Factors............and it arrived today at 09:30 Shocked Now thats what I call good service Thumbs Up

Another issue which I think will need addressing soon is my FBH, it fires up and works fine every time, except for this cloud of smoke.

Is there something I should do myself to try and make this better or is it a throw it away and start again job?

Mine does exactly the same mate they all do that!
It has got a bit better since I set up my FBH remote and got it running a lot more regularly but still a fair cloud when it first fires.

Only fix is a new one (£150 from duckworthparts if they still have any) or strip yours down and decoke. Can try a bit of brake cleaner in the inlet (don't have your washing on the line!) Thumbs Up

Mine had never smoked at all not even a hint and ran cleanly every time. Then just before Xmas it started smoking big time. It was so bad I couldn't leave it running while stopped unless I put recirculation on or it filled the car with diesel fumes.

I was always a bit disappointed that mine never gave any indication that is running apart from the smell and I could feel the heat from the exhaust, that disappointment some went when it started smoking Rolling with laughter

Was going to strip and clean it but at £150 delivered I ordered an new one from Duckworths. I will clean the old one and keep as a spare. I suspect my old one has an air leak because it always ran clean and the change was instant not over time. When mine started smoking the exhaust silencer on the FBH was leaking smoke also so a new one made good sense as an exhaust is £80.

Fitting is fairly easy once you get at it.

Grill out,NS Headlight out,NSF wheel arch trim remove, inner arch liner remove,10mm clamp on the exhaust in the wheel arch loosen and slide bottom pipe off, fuel pipe clipped beside air spring mount(slide cover up and press down clamp to remove pipe),release electrical connectors from FBH and ease cable clamps from the mount.Clamp the coolant pipes and slide the clamps off with pliers or correct tool. 4 bolts hold the FBH in, with the PAS reservoir remove from it's mount you can move everything out of the way and jiggle the FBH out loosening the top exhasut clamp gives a bit more movement(there is also a cable loom clipped to it's black plate that gets in the way)

Fitting is just the reverse, put some masking tape over the fuel pipe so no dirt gets in as you route it and top up the coolant when done.

After a prime with the IID mine fired first time, no smoke, happy days Thumbs Up
