Mr Moose, let me know how you get on. Are you going to Ludlow or Shrewsbury ?
I did ask them to check underneath, and they could not find a fault.
Speak to Dave at Ludlow (Service Reception) and mention that its sounds the same as my issue (Simon from Cleobury). That way they may think that mine does indeed have an issue (that one of their guys did hear)
My EPB was cleaned and checked and the noise did appear to go for a few days and then came back.
Its not always there though. More times it is and does vary slightly in volume.
cheers

May also be worth a look chaps, as this happened to me recently. I looked a little foolish at the Dealership
For some reason the the Alloy Wheel security nut thingy came out of its holder in the O/S rear box, and was rolling around in the bottom metal on metal. They say it happens alot and is where they look 1st.

Nope... I'm not that silly
That would be a rolly knocky sound not a metallic scraping noise that has a constant pitch on a smooth flat road
My locking wheel nut remover has never come out of its slot... you need to insert it the right way round in the 1st place

rolling around metallic rumble... not the same as the noise we are experiencing though
Mac - I have ditched the locker and the remover - more trouble than they are worth
Simon - Ludlow, although not in person, I'll be meeting the Service manager chap (mike / mick or similar) at Cosford. it will at least give him a chance to hear it on route.

Just had a call from Shukers, my metallic noise is coming from the rear diff - a new one is needed apparently.
Shukers have ordered one which should be with them in a week or so. Until then, I hope it holds together.

Drat... I have no rear diff fitted.
The noise is back too and slightly louder rasping than it was.
Thanks for the update, will call Mick tomorrow. Needs a 30K service in a few thousand miles so will wait till then.
