Might pick up a V6 petrol as our 3rd D3

So very few hard to find V8's in the US Caribbean where I plan to keep our 3rd D3, too costly to ship a V8 and it turns out to be same price, but too much effort. So planning to pick up a V6 petrol there instead.

Can I use regular petrol 87 on the V6? Or does it also require premium 91?

On our V8's we use premium 91-93 since it requires premium and it's easy to find on the mainland.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm here in the states. You can use both really. I never had any ill effects using both

Research the engine very carefully. I have heard of a few 4.0 V6 ones going bang.

Personally, I will hold out for the V8, so worth it.
 King of the typo.

MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!

Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!

Dont waste your money on the V6 petrol - gas guzzlers, low power, low reliability - wait for that special V8. Better fuel economy, more zoom zoom and less issues.
